We started out by reading
Sydney's Star by Peter H. Reynolds. It was a a cute book about a mouse named Sydney who was an inventor. She invented a remote control star that ended up doing a lot of good. The boys then made their own shiny stars like Sydney's.
Sara, this is very nice. Tell the boys that Grandma and Papa Joe can see what they are learning at school. I am very impressed. Thanks for sharing this. Peg
